VEGA have been one of the most consistent Melodic Hard Rock bands with a modern twist during the past decade. “Grit Your Teeth” is the name of their latest effort, the sixth one in total, which once again walks the paths between traditional 80’s Melodic Rock and Modern Hard Rock – UK style. The previous release “Only Human” hit the charts in the UK in 2017, so they seem to be on the ‘right’ musical path in building up a career. I prefer their older releases though which orientated a bit more onto the classic Melodic Rock sounds and the style singer Nick Workman played with his previous band KICK. Highlights to mention? Rather the tracks form the second half of this release than the first ones. “Grit Your Teeth” nevertheless is a strong album in the band’s history which should please all fans of the most recent work.
