What an album of the Swedish band! The third effort of CONSTANCIA again presents a new singer. After David Fremberg from Sweden, Englishman Pete Godfrey (IN FAITH, BLOOD RED SAINTS) follows and totally nails it. Janne Stark (g, ex GRAND DESIGN, OVERDRIVE, MERRYWEATHER/STARK) and the guys manage to combine the best elements of AOR, melodic rock and very little bits and pieces of progressive rock to form something exciting yet pretty unique. Mostly melodic hard rock with a great sense for hooklines a little bit aside the expected paths like the futuristic “Open Your Heart“, the energetic “Synchronistic“ or the rather contemporary and slightly progressive “Titanium“ easily showcase. And the powerful and anthem-like “We Are Unbreakable“ is a really strong composition, too. “Brave New World“ is an album you definitely won’t be tired of any time soon as there are absolutely no fillers whatsoever. Well produced and a few surprises here and there along the road. Great record! CONSTANCIA from up North might be able to lift the whole melodic genre onto a new level.
